These Pau Hana Hours aim to engage and connect with community leaders on policy and actions needed that will shape and change our future for the better.

Inouye Institute & the University of Hawaii Public Policy Center for a series of virtual Pau Hana + Policy hours to engage with thought leaders on policy and actions needed that will shape and change our future for the better.

The first Pau Hana Hour in our 2020 Summer Series was held virtually on zoom on Wednesday July 1, 2020 at 4pm HST.

Panel members took on the new realities of campaigning during a pandemic, from fundraising to voter contact, evaluating the hurdles and opportunities faced by both incumbents and challengers. From the Mayoral races, to the role and influence of money and PACs, to the question of leadership, participants and panelists engaged in thoughtful and invigorating discussions on these very important topics.
